I have experience tutoring College Essay Writing and High School Level Essay Writing, as well as organizing and facilitating reading and writing critique groups. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta, a national English honors society, as well as Delta Epsilon Sigma, a national honors society for general academic excellence. Throughout my time at King's, I've taken several independent studies and worked one-on-one with my professors, which has given me insight into how to best approach individual tutoring and study sessions. Also, my experience as an English major has taught me how to evaluate and process a large amount of information quickly and effectively, helping me to understand students' strengths and weaknesses and then find them the most efficient tools to meet their needs. I think that tutoring offers an excellent way for students to become better educated, greatly increasing their chances for personal success. I want to be a tutor in order to help foster this success on a personal level, which eventually will bolster communities and help create a better world.
